The Minddiet Company. (“The MindDiet”, “us”, “we”, “our”) is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. The policies below are applicable to the minddiet company website: minddiet.ca (the “Website”).

This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) is intended to let you know (1) the kinds of personal information we may gather during your visit to the Website, (2) why we gather your information, (3) how we might use your personal information, (4) when we might disclose your personal information, and (5) how you can manage your personal information.

Except as disclosed below, we do not sell, barter, give away, or rent your Personal Information (defined in Section 4(a) below).

(a) Personal Information. Use of certain features of the Website, for example creating a profile, or subscribing to our email list may require that you provide to us certain personally identifiable information, in other words, information that identifies or describes you, such as your name, email address, telephone numbers, emergency contact, medical conditions, address, zip code, age, and gender (collectively, the “Personal Information”). We also may collect and store Personal Information about you that we receive from other sources, e.g. information you email to us; information we collect through surveys; or the information we receive from third parties when you register for any of our coaching programs. Said third parties may have their own privacy policy and you should refer to them for any questions you may have about the information they collects about you.

(b) Aggregated Information. Even if you do not create a profile or register for a retreat, when you interact with our Website, we may collect certain non-personal information. For example, our servers keep an activity log that tracks all visitors to the Website. The information in the activity log does not identify you individually, but may include (among other data): your IP address, your registered domain or home server, time of access, date of access, web page(s) visited, number of clicks, software crash reports, type of browser used, session identification number, search terms, search results, access times and referring website’s address(es).

(c) Cookies and Spyware. We do not install spyware on your computer, nor do we use spyware to retrieve information from your computer. Like many other websites, we may use “cookies”, which are small text files that are stored on your computer or internet enabled equipment when you visit certain online pages that record your preferences. We may use cookies to track your use of our Website and its features. We may also use cookies to monitor traffic, improve the Website and make it easier and/or more relevant for your use. You may occasionally get cookies from companies with links on our Website. We do not control these cookies, and these cookies are not subject to our Privacy Policy. (d) No Information Collected From Children. Our site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13 years of age nor do we knowingly correspond in any manner with children under 13. If you are under 13 years of age you should not use this Website, and under no circumstance should you send information about yourself to us. If we discover that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with Personal Information, we will immediately delete that child’s information from the Website and cease any further communication.

5. How We May Use Your Information.

Except as disclosed in this Privacy Policy, we do not use or disclose information about your individual visits to our Website or your Personal Information collected online to any third parties other than those with whom we partner or with whom we are affiliated without your consent.

(a) In General. We use your Personal Information to communicate with you about your interest in our groups and our company, to help us improve your experience on the Website and, in some cases, to promote our retreats and groups. We may also use your information to prevent or detect abuses of our Terms of Use and/or Privacy Policy, and/or to enable third parties to carry out technical or other functions on our behalf.

(b) Your Submissions. By giving us your Personal Information either through our Website, by email or otherwise, you expressly consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. When you submit Personal Information to us, we may use your Personal Information to contact you, and we may provide it to certain third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

(c) Use of Anonymous Information. We may use anonymous information to help us determine how you use parts of the Website and how we can improve our Website. We may also use anonymous information to provide information in aggregated form to our partners and other third parties about how our users collectively use the Website. (d) Third-Parties. We may occasionally have third party representatives, agents, affiliates and partners that perform functions on our behalf, such as retreat registration, marketing, analytics, etc. These entities may have access to your Personal Information but only as needed to perform their services.

Additionally, the Website may use third-party service providers to service various aspects of the Website. Each third-party service provider’s use of your personal information is dictated by their respective privacy policies.The Website currently uses the following third-party service providers:Google Analytics – this service tracks Website usage and provides information such as referring websites and user actions on the Website. Google Analytics may capture your IP address, but no other personal information is captured by Google Analytics.

MailChimp – this service is used for delivery of email updates and newsletters. We store your name and email address for purposes of delivering such communications. Please refer to MailChimp’s privacy policy for further information.

At this time, your personal information is not shared with any other third-party applications. This list may be amended from time to time in the Website’s sole discretion.

Except when required by law, we will not sell, distribute, or reveal your email addresses or other personal information without your consent; however, we may disclose or transfer personal information collected through the Website to third parties who acquire all or a portion of our business, which may be the result of a merger, consolidation, or purchase of all or a portion of our assets, or in connection with any bankruptcy or reorganization proceeding brought by or against us.

ANONYMOUS DATA

From time to time, we may use anonymous data, which does not identify you alone, or when combined with data from other parties. This type of anonymous data may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. Examples of this anonymous data may include analytics or information collected from cookies.

PUBLICLY VISIBLE INFORMATION

If you create a user profile on the Website or leave a comment, certain information may be publicly visible. To create a user profile, you must choose a username and password and input your email address for profile confirmation. Your email address will never be available publicly. At your option, you may also add an avatar, a profile description, and a link to your website.

You may also choose to link your Facebook, Instagram, and Google Account.

Users may see your username, avatar, profile description and website information.

The Website uses cookies to store visitors’ preferences, record user-specific information on what pages users access or visit, ensure that visitors are not repeatedly sent the same banner ads, customize Website content based on visitors’ browser type or other information that the visitor sends. Affiliate Program Participation

MindDiet is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and links to Amazon.com. As part of this Amazon Associates program, the Website will post customized links, provided by Amazon, to track the referrals to their website. This program utilizes cookies to track visits for the purposes of assigning commission on these sales.

Newsletters

On the Website, you may subscribe to our newsletter, which may be used for advertising purposes. All newsletters sent may contain tracking pixels. The pixel is embedded in emails and allows an analysis of the success of online marketing campaigns. Because of these tracking pixels, we may see if and when you open an email and which links within the email you click. Also, this allows the Website to adapt the content of future newsletters to the interests of the user. This behavior will not be passed on to third parties.

(e) Emergency Situations.
